This introduction to backcountry course is a perfect day outing for those eager to learn the fundamentals of ski touring, uphill travel technique, transitions, and navigating backcountry terrain. It’s an ideal course for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders who feel confident going off-piste, have backcountry equipment, and are considering an Avalanche Rescue, AIARE 1 course, or just want to get a taste for touring.
