Welcome to Three Sisters Backcountry
Welcome! Our small family business operates remote ski huts in the Central Oregon Cascades between Sisters and Bend. We began offering AIARE avalanche courses in 2005, backcountry skiing out of our Tam Rim yurts in 2009 and we added a hut to hut ski traverse in 2014. We hope you have a chance to escape from whatever you are doing to let us host you in an amazing winter setting.

The best Terrain in the Cascades
The Tam Rim Alpine yurts sit at the doorstep of the Three Sisters Wilderness with the north-facing Tam McArthur Rim rising 1,500 feet above the yurts and stretching over two miles, providing an incredible variety of terrain including open bowls, tree’d glades, couloirs, gentle meadows, and steep chutes.

Tam McArthur Rim offers one of the most dynamic avalanche learning environments in Oregon with an extensive array of terrain and possible avalanche problems in an immersive yurt-based course.

Alongside our winters spent skiing fresh powder in the Tam MacArthur Rim and summers spent teaching whitewater paddling, we offer a host of additional events and educational opportunities.
